Khanh Phuong

Khanh Phuong (1981-    ) is a Vietnamese male singer.  He began his music career as a member of the Vietnamese pop group, MP5.

Born on April 11, 1981 in Hai Duong, which is a province located on the Red Mekong Delta of Northern Vietnam, Khanh Phuong began his career as a music performance artist while he was still a teenager.  He along with four other school friends formed the V-Pop teen group, M5, in the late 1990s.  As one of the founding members of M5 and undoubtedly one of the major driving forces behind the pop group's success, Khanh Phuong would become the last out of all five members to embark on a solo career in 2006 with the release of his solo debut studio album, Va Khanh Phuong Van Hat.  As a solo artist, Khanh Phuong has enjoyed a highly successful career which consists of skyrocketing album sales and numerous sold out live concerts throughout Vietnam and abroad.

Among his most famous hit singles include Nuoc Mat Dan Ong, Chiec Khan Gio Am, Tua Vao Vai Anh, I Am Sorry, Rat Tiec Anh va Em Hai The Gioi and Xa Muon Trung May.  In 2009, Khanh Phuong was voted by a national poll as Vietnam's most popular male singer of the year.  Since the beginning of his solo career, he has been one of the best selling artists in Vietnam's music industry.  During the past decade, Khanh Phuong has consistently had at least one studio album released in each consecutive year.  To date, he has released a total of eleven solo studio albums.  Among his most successful solo studio albums include Mua Thuy Tinh (2007), Khanh Phuong Khong Phai Jay Chou (2009), Toi La A Fang (2010), A Fang Online (2011), Anh Rat Yeu Em (2013) and De Anh Phia Sau Em (2014).

During the year of 2013, Khanh Phuong was cast in a supporting role in the comedy film, Bay Vao Coi Mong, starring Vinh Thuyen Kim, Tommy Ngo, Lynda Trang Dai, Kieu Oanh, Le Huynh and Xuan Lan, which began a secondary career as an actor for the popular singer.

In addition to his career achievements, Khanh Phuong is also an accomplished scholar.  In 2003, he graduated from the University of Ho Chi Minh City as a double major in Chinese and journalism.  Khanh Phuong also holds a law degree from the University of Ho Chi Minh City, School of Law.
