Nguyen Khang

Nguyen Khang (1973-    ) is a Vietnamese-American singer.  Born and raised in Saigon, South Vietnam, he came to the United States in 1994 where he first resettled in Connecticut.  Four years later, Nguyen Khang's name would first gain prominence in the overseas Vietnamese music industry after being discovered by singer Thuy Duong who had asked him to record the song, Em Ve Nao Co Hay, written by Hoang Trong Thuy on one of her albums.  Shortly after, Nguyen Khang began recording for World Music Productions that would release several of his solo studio albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s.  Since then, he has made numerous appearances on video for Asia Entertainment and has earned a large fan base that consists of Vietnamese music lovers in all four corners of the world.

When he first came onto the music scene, Nguyen Khang's voice was often compared to that of legendary singer Tuan Ngoc.  Nguyen Khang has disclosed on several interviews that indeed Tuan Ngoc has been his idol which could possibly explain the similarities in their voices.  However, through the years Nguyen Khang has definitely developed a style and sound of his own.  Among Nguyen Khang's most popular hit songs have included Anh Con Yeu Em, Cung La Tram Nam, Rong Reu, Vi Do La Em and Mai Toi Di, a duet he had recorded with singer Diem Lien.  Aside from his audio recordings, music video appearances and performances at live shows for Vietnamese audiences all over the world, Nguyen Khang can be seen on SET-TV as a news anchor alongside other singers Diem Lien and My Huyen.

On December of 2010, Nguyen Khang married actress Lam Bao Nhu.  The two had first met on the set of his music video, Xin Con Goi Ten Nhau, back in 2009.
