Binh Minh

Binh Minh (1981-    ) is a Vietnamese actor of television and films, male model and game show host. In 2002, as a model who was represented by Elite Vietnam, Binh Minh's appearance in Manhunt International made history since he had become the first male model to compete in an international modeling competition.  Binh Minh placed in the top ten among international male models and was given worldwide exposure.  He has since been dubbed as Vietnam's first male supermodel and has been also credited often as Nguyen Binh Minh as his professional name.

Just like the fashion modeling industries all over the world, male models earn significantly less than female models in Vietnam.  Despite Binh Minh's status as a famous celebrity male model, he could only make a fraction of what top female models in Vietnam were earning.  Binh Minh wisely used his fame in modeling as a springboard that would open doors for him in television, films and other business opportunities that would prove far more lucrative than his earnings as a male model in Vietnam.  In 2007, Binh Minh was winner of Vietnam's Most Favorite Male Model of the Year Award.

The many different endeavors that were introduced to Binh Minh while he was modeling would all result in further successes for him as a multi-talented entertainer.  He found success as a game show host on several different popular television programs in Vietnam such as Chung Suc, which is Vietnam's version of Family Feud and Iron Chef Vietnam, based on the popular Japanese show, Iron Chef, in which he was host during its first season.

Viewer audiences were immediately drawn to Binh Minh due to his obvious physical attributes, but were entranced even more so with his charm and appeal.  A male model that was now seen more often on television enchanting the public audience with his dashing good looks, his alluring, masculine speaking voice and his captivating style of fashion, Binh Minh was already poised for stardom from his very first television appearance.  The next step for Binh Minh was to become an actor.  His transformation from a model to a television personalty to, finally, an actor had already been foreseen by the public.  Among his most popular film roles include Chuyen Tinh Xa Xu (2009), Giao Lo Dinh Menh (2010), Nguoi Cong Su (2013) and Co Dau Dai Chien 2 (2014).  In 2011, Binh Minh won the coveted Golden Orchid Award for Vietnam's Best Actor category for his portrayal in the film, Vat Chung Mong Manh.  His breakthrough television role was in the popular series, Co Gai Xau Xi.

Since 2008, Binh Minh has been married to Anh Tho.  Together, the couple are proud parents of two young daughters.
