Dustin Nguyen



Dustin Nguyen (1962-     ) is an American actor of Vietnamese origin.  Born in Saigon to Vietnamese actors, the late Xuan Phat and My Le, Dustin Nguyen along with his family fled Vietnam for the United States in 1975 after the Fall of Saigon.  He graduated from Garden Grove High School and attended Orange Coast College where he majored in mass communications.  Dustin Nguyen was casted in 21 Jump Street alongside Johnny Depp and Holly Robinson in 1987.  During his tenure on the popular Fox Network television show, Nguyen had become an American teen heartthrob.


After 21 Jump Street, Dustin Nguyen has appeared in numerous films in the English language, as well as in Vietnamese such as Heaven and Earth (1993), Little Fish (2005), The Rebel (2007)Saigon Eclipse (2007), The Floating Lives (2010) costarring Do Thi Hai Yen and Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, Between Two Worlds (2011) costarring Ngoc Diep and Tam Tit.  In 2013, Dustin Nguyen starred, wrote, produced and directed Lua Phat (Once Upon a Time in Vietnam), a Vietnamese-language action fantasy film that had also co-starred actress Ngo Thanh Van and his father, Xuan Phat.  In 2015, he again starred, produced and directed the feature film, Trung So (Jackpot), costarring Chi Tai and Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc.

Dustin Nguyen was formerly married actress Angela Rockwood, a quadriplegic, for ten years from 2001 until 2011.  He is currently married to Vietnamese model and actress Bebe Pham.  The two are parents of two daughters.  Dustin Nguyen is related to actors Nguyen Chanh Tin and Johnny Tri Nguyen and comedian Van Son of Van Son Entertainment.
