Ha Kieu Anh

Hà Kiều Anh (1976-    ) is a famous Vietnamese actress and former Miss Vietnam beauty pageant titleholder.

She was born on May 17, 1976 in Hanoi.  Her paternal grandfather was Hà Văn Lâu, who was a United Nations representative of Vietnam.  Her maternal grandfather was Vương Quốc Mỹ, who was head of Vietnam's ministry of construction.   At the age of 5, her parents divorced and Hà Kiều Anh moved to Ho Chi Minh City with her mother.  In 1992, while at the age of 16, Hà Kiều Anh entered and became the youngest to ever win the Miss Vietnam national beauty pageant.  That same year, she also made her film debut in Người Tình trong Mơ.  Her other acting credits in film and television include Lục Vân Tiên (2004), Đẻ Mướn (2005) starring Chi Bảo, Phương Thanh and Kim Thư, Áo Lụa Hà Đông (2006) starring Trương Ngọc Ánh, Quốc Khánh, Tú Trinh and Như Quỳnh, Ván Cờ Tình Yêu (2007) starring Helen Thanh Đào and Huy Khánh, Hạnh Phúc Có Thật (2009) starring Ngân Khánh, Đại Gia Đình (2010) costarring Quyền Linh, Lối Sống Sai Lầm (2010) starring Vân Trang and Con Gái Vị Thẩm Phán (2014) starring Huy Khánh and Thân Thúy Hà.

Throughout her professional career, Hà Kiều Anh has been just as famous for her roles on television and film as with her involvement in scandals.  In 2003, her name was dragged through the Vietnamese tabloids due to alleged sales of illegal cellular phones by her ex-husband, Nguyễn Gia Thiều, CEO of Đông Nam Company.  And while filming the television mini-series, Lục Vân Tiên, in 2004, topless photos of Hà Kiều Anh along with another former Miss Vietnam beauty pageant titleholder and actress, Ngô Mỹ Uyên, were leaked to the public and ended up in heavy rotation throughout the internet.

In 2007, Hà Kiều Anh decided to give love and marriage another try with Vietnamese celebrity home builder and remodeling contractor Lý Quí Khánh.  The couple are proud parents to two sons and a daughter.

Noo Phuoc Thinh

Noo Phước Thịnh (1988-    ) is a V-Pop singing sensation and occasional actor of Vietnamese television and film.

He was born as Nguyễn Phước Thịnh in Ho Chi Minh City on December 18, 1988.  Given how he had been born exactly one week before Christmas Day, his mother nicknamed him Noel.  Growing up, most of his friends and family members would mispronounce his nickname calling him "No" rather than "Noel".  The unintentional shortening of his nickname to just only the first syllable, however, stuck.  The negative connotation with the nickname, "No", prompted his mother to add an additional "O", hence his professional stage name, Noo Phước Thịnh.

While Noo Phước Thịnh was in college as an accounting major at Hutech University, School of Business in Ho Chi Minh City, he found part-time work as a male model appearing in various teen magazines and music videos.  He had developed close friendships with singers Thủy Tiên and Đông Nhi, whom each would help him with guidance and useful advice during the early days of his singing career.  On August of 2009, Noo Phước Thịnh made his debut live performance in front of a large gathering during an event called Friend's Night in Ho Chi Minh City where he sang a duet with Đông Nhi of a song he had written, Nếu.  Although the overall response from the audience on that debut live performance was positive, it was at his next major concert event several weeks later, Nhịp Trẻ, that would give him the much needed career boost.  Appearing alongside such major headliners like Thủy Tiên, Đông Nhi, Phạm Huy Du, Ngô Kiến Huy, Wanbi Tuấn Anh and Bảo Thy, he along with fellow singer Thu Thủy's standout individual performances each had brought the house down.  Audience members that night responded with thunderous applause to Thu Thủy's angelic delivery of the song, Hãy Để Anh Yêu Em Lần Nữa (written by Nguyễn Đình Vũ) and Noo Phước Thịnh's flawless deliveries of the songs, Lặng Thầm (written by Nguyễn Hoàng Duy) and Hạnh Phúc Thoáng Qua (written by Đình Vũ).  On December of that same year, he released his first solo studio album, Ba Chấm (…), which also featured a duet track recorded with Thủy Tiên of a song she had written, Quay Về Đi.  Noo Phước Thịnh has since released several other well-received studio albums such as Lạc Bước trong Đêm (2011), Tình Như Chocopie (2011), a duet album recorded with Hiền Thục, Em (The Mini Album) (2012), Gạt Đi Nước Mắt (2014), Chuyện Tình Maldives (Love In Maldives) (2015), a duet album recorded with Thủy Tiên and I Don't Believe in You (2016).  Among his most popular hit singles include Mất Em, Đổi Thay (written by Nguyễn Hoàng Duy), Merino Ice Cream Land, a duet recorded with Đông Nhi, Nỗi Nhớ Đầy Vơi (written by Nguyễn Hoàng Tôn), a duet recorded with Hồ Ngọc Hà, Thương Mấy Cũng Là Người Dưng (written by Anh Khang), Đừng Nhìn Lại (Just Wanna Say Goodbye), Như Phút Ban Đầu (written by Đỗ Hiếu), Cause I Love You and Tìm Em trong Ký Ức (Finding You in Loving Memory) (written by Hamlet Trương).

In addition to his singing career, Noo Phước Thịnh has occasionally acted in Vietnamese television and film.  He has landed small parts in two Vietnamese television mini-series, Kính Vạn Hoa Part 3 (2008) starring Võ Ngọc Trai and Những Giấc Hơ Hồng (2009) starring fellow singer/actor Đăng Khôi.  In 2010, Noo Phước Thịnh had a supporting role in the feature film, Công Chúa Teen và Ngũ Hổ Tướng, a starring vehicle for Bảo Thy, Yến Trang and Khổng Tú Quỳnh.

Noo Phước Thịnh is currently one of Vietnam's most successful pop singers.  Among his many accolades he has won through the years include 5 Mai Vàng (Golden Orchid Awards), 9 Làn Sóng Xanh Awards, 3 HTV Awards and 13 Zing Muisc Awards.  He performs at a non-stop touring schedule in cities throughout Vietnam and for overseas Vietnamese communities all over the world with a reported command in salary of $3,500 USD to $4,500 per performance.  In 2016, he purchased a penthouse apartment in Ho Chi Minh City priced at $1,000,000 USD.  At age 29, Noo Phước Thịnh still remains a bachelor.  That along with his effeminate gestures on stage have contributed to numerous articles written in Vietnamese tabloids with speculations that Noo Phước Thịnh is allegedly gay.  He has since publicly denied such allegations on several television interviews.

Aïna Quach

Aïna Quach (1993-    ) is a multilingual pop singer of Belgian, Chinese, Vietnamese and Malagasy descent.

Born on March 22, 1993 in Longjumeau, France to a half Belgian and half Chinese-Vietnamese father and a Malagasy mother, she was raised in Courcouronnes, a suburb south of Paris.  From a young age, Aïna Quach was heavily influenced by the musicians in her family, particularly her aunt who was a famous singer from Madagascar.  At the age of 9, Aïna Quach made her debut live performance in front of an audience of 1,500 at a concert held in honor of the Malagasy ambassador to France in Paris.  From then on, she had realized her dream of one day becoming a professional singer.

As a youth, Aïna Quach learned to play the piano and also acted in theater, most notably in a production of Les Misérables at the Trianon de Paris Theater where she portrayed the role of Cosette.  At the age of 13, she met and befriended famous Malagasy guitarist/singer Erick Manana who would become her mentor in her music career over the years.  The two recorded a duet album together in 2006 in the Malagasy language which would officially introduce Aïna Quach to the national pop music industry in Madagascar.  On July of 2007, Aïna Quach was the featured special guest performer at the 35th anniversary concert of the legendary Malagasy folk music group, Mahaleo, held at the Olympia in Paris where she sang a memorable duet of the song, Mimoza, with the group's lead singer Dama.  The following year, Aïna Quach would embark on several successful concert tours in Madagascar beginning with several sold out dates at the prestigious Palais des Sports de Mahamasina in the capital city of Antananarivo headlining alongside such big names in the Malagasy music industry like Poopy, Dodo and Fafa.  In 2009, she traveled to the United States to collaborate on her solo studio album, What I Want, which consisted of songs recorded in English at a major studio in Miami, Florida, with composer/record producer Mikey Bassie who had worked with the likes of some of the top American pop music artists such as Britney Spears, Gloria Estefan and Joey McIntyre.  Aïna Quach would return to North America on June of the following year to perform in a pair of highly successful concert shows commemorating Madagascar's 50th year of independence held in New York and Canada, as she along with Malagasy pop singer Marius Fenoamby had been selected by the Malagasy overseas mission as featured headliners for the event.  Aïna Quach  has since made numerous triumphant returns to Madagascar to perform live in concert for her many adoring Malagasy fans.

After graduating from high school in 2011, Aïna Quach decided to further her studies and enrolled at the prestigious l'Académie des Arts Urbains in Paris, France.  That same year, she also began collaborating with Jessy Matador, the up and coming rising young star of French pop music who had represented France at Eurovision in 2010.  It was through her association with Jessy Matador that she would later become acquainted with renowned composer Wilson Silva, who had written the music for his hit song, Mini Kaoulé.   In 2014, Wilson Silva and Aïna Quach collaborated in the production of their first hit single together entitled as Come.  During the fall of that same year, Aïna Quach was selected by Khanh Mai, the founder and original member of the legendary French progressive rock group, Tai Phong, as the group's new lead female vocalist for a successful concert tour of Japan.  The album, Tai Phong:  Live in Japan, would be released two years later which featured several live tracks with Aïna Quach on lead vocals.  Earlier in 2016, Je t’emmènerai, another collaboration between Wilson Silva and Aïna Quach, was released as a single.

Since August 30, 2015, Aïna Quach has been engaged to Wilson Silva.  At present, the pair are working on an upcoming studio album and plans for a world tour.

Cardin Nguyen

Cardin Nguyễn (1978-    ) is a popular overseas Vietnamese singer, songwriter and musician signed with the prominent music label, Asia Entertainment.

Asia 4

Born on November 11, 1978 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Cardin Nguyễn grew up primarily in Houston, Texas after resettling there with his family in 1989.  His father is famous Vietnamese singer/composer Đình Huấn.  In 2000, he moved to Orange County, California and began his lengthy collaboration with Asia Entertainment as one of the founding members of the all-male quartet known as Asia 4 along with Evan Lê, Spencer and James Nguyễn.  From 2000 until 2003, Asia 4 appeared on a total of 9 volumes of the popular live show video series produced by Asia Entertainment.  Almost instantaneously the quartet made up of 4 talented, young Vietnamese-American male vocalists were able to reach the specific young adult demographics of overseas Vietnamese audiences with their ability of singing bilingually in English and Vietnamese, thus gaining for themselves a large following of fans.  Among their most popular recorded songs for Asia Entertainment included Will You Still, Tell Me, Why Lie to Me and The Last Promise.  Cardin Nguyễn had also written and composed many of the songs recorded by Asia 4.

In 2004, Cardin Nguyễn embarked on a solo career breaking away from Asia 4.  His appearance on volume 41 of the popular video series produced by Asia Entertainment where he performed The Chase, a song he had written, in a duet with singer Trish Thùy Trang was widely received by Vietnamese music lovers worldwide.  That same year, Asia Entertainment released his first solo studio album, Trái Tim Dại Khờ (Foolish Heart), which became the label's bestselling album of 2004.  Cardin Nguyễn has enjoyed an uninterrupted, lengthy association with Asia Entertainment which continues to this day.  He has recorded duets with various other artists including Sỹ Đan, Cát Lynh and Thùy Hương.  Cardin Nguyễn has performed in live concerts for Vietnamese audiences all over the world.
