Đăng Khôi (1983- ) is a Vietnamese pop singer/actor who had first gained prominence as a member of the boy groups, New Stars and Con Trai, while still a teenager.
Nguyễn Đăng Khôi was born on November 28, 1983 in Hanoi. During his sophomore year at Việt Đức High School in Hanoi, he became a member of the pop singing group known as New Stars and performed at professional shows all around the country. Upon graduating from high school, Đăng Khôi was accepted into the prestigious Hanoi Music Conservatory in 2001. After 3 years as a member of New Stars, in 2002 he joined another boy group called Con Trai and signed with HT Productions. That same year, HT Productions released two studio albums for Con Trai along with another album comprised of various artists including Đan Trường, Cẩm Ly, Mỹ Lệ and Quang Dũng. The following year, HT Productions released Đăng Khôi's debut solo studio album, Thật Lòng Yêu Em. In 2004, his second studio solo album, Khôi, was released by Vafaco. Đăng Khôi formed his own music label, Đăng Khôi Productions, in 2005 and released his third solo studio album, Từ Bắc… Tới Nam, on October of that same year. Among his other well-received solo studio albums include Thiên Đường Vắng Em (2006), Ngày Nhớ Đêm Mong (2008), Tình Đầu Không Nguôi (2008) and Hoa Hồng Tuyết (2009). In 2007, he along with singer Thủy Tiên were named by Làn Sóng Xanh Music Awards as Most Promising Newcomers. On August of 2009, Đăng Khôi was the only Vietnamese singer invited to perform at the annual Korea Music Festival held in Seoul, South Korea. On December 26, 2009, Đăng Khôi produced his first televised live concert show in Ho Chi Minh City, Đăng Khôi Live.
In 2003, Đăng Khôi starred in his first feature film, Khi Người Ta Yêu Nhau.
On November 13, 2013, Đăng Khôi married actress Thủy Anh in a lavish wedding ceremony in Hanoi. The couple are now proud parents of two young sons.
