Séverine Ferrer


Séverine Ferrer (1977-    ) is a French singer and actress of Vietnamese and Italian descent.

She was born on October 31, 1977 in Montpellier, France.  Her family relocated to the island of Réunion shortly after her birth.  Séverine Ferrer entered show business at the age of 4 as a child model.  Two years after winning the Mini-Miss Réunion Beauty Pageant at age 7, she became a child star with her own television show, Séverine Club, which aired on Antenne Réunion.  After a two-year stint as a regular cast member on another television show, Les Enfants du Soleil, which aired on RFO Réunion, Séverine Ferrer and her family returned to mainland France in 1991 and relocated to Paris.  As an actress in France, she has worked in television, film and theater.  In 1995, she portrayed Alice, the sister of Dany Carrel, in L'Annamite,, an autobiographic television movie about the legendary French-Vietnamese actress.  The following year, she won the lead role as Choé for the French television series, Studio Sud.  From 1997 to 2005, Séverine Ferrer hosted the television program, Fan de, which aired on M6 Métropole Télevision.  In 2003, she portrayed the role of Lou in the highly rated French television mini-series, Lola, Qui Es-Tu Lola?, starring Blandine Bury and Cyrile Mourali.  She has made several guest appearances in recurring roles for other popular French television series such as Une Famille Formidable and Léa Parker.  On the silver screen, Séverine Ferrer has had supporting roles in such feature films like Beaumarchais, l'insolent (1996), Delphine 1, Yvan 0 (1996), Ça Reste Entre Nous (1998) and Marié(s) Ou Presque (2008).  In recent years, she has performed in more theater productions than television and film beginning in 2001 as a featured performer in the French version of The Vagina Monologues at Le Théâtre Michel in Paris.  Since then, Séverine Ferrer has achieved further success as a theater actress in play productions such as Ma Première Fois (2013), Enfer et Contre Tout (2014-2015), Je Ne Veux Pas Mourir Idiot (2015) and Pour le Meilleur et Pour le Rire (2016).

In addition to acting, Séverine Ferrer is also an accomplished singer.  In 2004, she released her self-titled debut solo studio album for the Treize Biz record label.  In 2006, Séverine Ferrer represented Monaco at the 51st annual Concours Eurovision de la Chanson competition held in Athens, Greece.  Despite not making it into the finals, her memorable performance of the popular song, Coco-Dance, along with choreography by Bruce Vandelli sparked much attention at the competition.

Married to French actor Frédéric Mazé, Séverine Ferrer is the mother of three sons, Joshua (b. 2000), Milo (b. 2007) and Elijah (b.2017).  In 2015, Séverine Ferrer opened MY AGENCY, a modeling agency representing child models.
